Provider Agreement
Version 2026-10-v1 · TapaClean LLC · Miami-Dade County, Florida
This agreement applies to cleaning professionals ("you", "Provider") who use TapaClean to find and complete cleaning jobs. The Terms of Service and Privacy Policy also apply.
1. Your independent business
- You are an independent business, not an employee, agent or partner of TapaClean. Nothing in this agreement creates employment.
- You decide whether to use the app, which jobs to accept and when you are available. You are free to work for other platforms and your own clients.
- You decide how to do the work to meet the job's checklist, and you provide your own tools and cleaning products unless a booking says otherwise.
- You may operate as an individual or through your own company (such as an LLC).
2. Verification
- Before you can accept jobs you must verify your identity and work authorization and pass a background check run by Checkr. You will receive a separate disclosure and give written consent before any check is run.
- If information in a background check may lead us to decline you, we will send a pre-adverse action notice with a copy of the report and a summary of your rights, give you time to respond, and only then make a final decision.
- We strongly recommend general liability insurance. You can upload your certificate in the app; some jobs or service levels may require it.
3. Pay
- Clients pay TapaClean when they book. TapaClean keeps a platform fee of 30% of the service price at the Bronze level, and less at higher levels (section 4). You see your exact payout before you accept a job.
- Payouts are sent through Stripe to your account 24 hours after you complete the job, unless the client has reported a problem that is still under review.
- Promo codes and member discounts given to clients are paid by TapaClean and do not reduce your payout.
- Tips are 100% yours and are sent with or after the job payout.
- If a client cancels within 24 hours of the start, you receive your share of the 25% late-cancellation fee. If you cannot get into the property after waiting at least 15 minutes and messaging the client, report it in the app; the client may be charged 50% of the price and you receive your share.
- You are responsible for your own taxes. You may receive a tax form (such as a 1099) for your payouts.
4. Levels
Every provider starts at Bronze. Levels are calculated every day from your results on TapaClean only: completed jobs, average rating, number of reviews, on-time arrivals, following the scope (from client reviews), client complaints that ended in a refund in the last 90 days, late cancellations in the last 90 days and, for Platinum, liability insurance on file. TapaClean does not use levels to tell you how to do your work, and you can see your current numbers and what the next level needs in the app at any time.
| Level | TapaClean's fee | You keep | Requires |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bronze | 30% | 70% | Approved provider |
| Silver | 28% | 72% | 10+ jobs, 4.6+ rating with 5+ reviews, 90%+ on time, 90%+ scope, at most 2 refunded complaints and 2 late cancellations in 90 days |
| Gold | 26% | 74% | 40+ jobs, 4.8+ rating with 15+ reviews, 95%+ on time, 95%+ scope, at most 1 refunded complaints and 1 late cancellations in 90 days |
| Platinum | 25% | 75% | 100+ jobs, 4.9+ rating with 40+ reviews, 97%+ on time, 97%+ scope, at most 0 refunded complaints and 0 late cancellations in 90 days, insurance on file |
- The fee for a job is locked when you accept it (or when a client books you directly). A later level change does not change jobs you already have.
- Levels can go up or down as your numbers change; we notify you by email when your level changes.
- Higher levels also get a badge clients can see and a small boost in "best match" results.
- We may change the level requirements or fees with at least 30 days' notice; changes never apply to jobs you already accepted.
5. Doing the job
- Check in and out in the app at the property (your location is recorded only at those moments), follow the checklist and take before-and-after photos of the areas you clean.
- Access codes appear only while the job is in progress. Do not copy, share or keep them.
- If the property is materially different from the booking or the client asks for more work, send a change request in the app. Extra work is paid only when the client approves it in the app.
- You may stop a job and report it if conditions are unsafe.
6. Problems and corrections
- Clients can report missed items or quality problems within 24 hours, and damage within 48 hours. You will be able to respond with your side and evidence.
- If TapaClean decides a correction visit is appropriate, you are offered the chance to return within 3 days to fix the missed items at no extra charge. Refunds decided by TapaClean may reduce or cancel the payout for that job.
- You are responsible for damage you cause. Report any damage yourself right away in the app.
7. Reliability and conduct
- Cancel only when necessary. Cancelling within 48 hours of a job counts against reliability; after 3 late cancellations your account is reviewed.
- Treat clients and their homes with respect. Harassment, discrimination, theft and working under the influence are grounds for immediate removal.
- Do not ask for or accept payment outside TapaClean for clients you met on TapaClean. Messages are checked for attempts to move payment off the platform.
8. Suspension and ending this agreement
You can stop using TapaClean and delete your account at any time from Account. TapaClean may pause or end your access for breaking this agreement, safety concerns, fraud or repeated quality problems. Except in urgent safety cases, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond. Payouts already earned are paid.
9. Law and changes
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Florida. We may update it; significant changes will be announced by email or in the app before they take effect.
